Welcome to my site. For more than 16 years, I've been working hard to hone my design craft and help propel clients to the next level. My expertise has contributed to many positive outcomes in both interactive & digital environments as well as leading-edge advertising firms.
This diverse experience has allowed me to grow into increasingly challenging design roles, from graphic designer to art director to creative director. Along the way, I've also worn the hats of business developer, project manager, and print buyer. This gives me an exceptionally balanced left-brain / right-brain perspective that's hard to find in a design professional.
Over the years, my clients have varied greatly in size and scope, ranging from emergent businesses like Dirt Devil and Nationwide Insurance to retail giants Sears and Kmart. So I know how to adapt big-picture strategy and tactical execution to whatever comes my way. My work has won awards from sources like Graphic Design USA, the Horizon Interactive Awards, the Davey Awards, and the Web Marketing Association.
Recognition, however, is not what drives me. Helping clients receive tangible results does. I love being a brand ambassador across print and online communications. I enjoy creating new ways to deliver a compelling message. And participating in conferences like the AIGA in Boston, Atlanta's HOW Design Conference, and FutureTrends in South Beach keeps my skill set two steps ahead – so that I can continue to integrate the latest design theories and practices into innovative and pragmatic client solutions.
All of this passion began at Kent State University in my home state of Ohio. That's where I received my BFA in Visual Communication Design. It's also where I met my wife who, along with my two amazing children, inspires me to do things braver, bolder, and better every day.
